Yes, PayPal Shipping allows you to share the shipment tracking page with the recipient, or with anyone who needs to be aware of the delivery. You can do this via a direct link, from which the parcel can be tracked and all delivery details consulted.
How to share the tracking:
- Access your PayPal Shipping account.
- Select the shipment you would like to track.
- Click View tracking.
- A panel will appear where you can view all updates and the status of your shipment.
- On the right hand side of the panel, within the Shareable tracking box, click the icon
to copy the link/URL of the Tracking Page. - All set! Send the link/URL of the Tracking Page to the recipient.
Share the link when the shipment status is: In transit. This way, the person who receives it will be able to see the actual progress of the parcel. Sharing it earlier is not recommended, as the tracking will not yet show any activity.
Important
Share the link responsibly, as it is public and anyone who receives it will be able to see the shipment tracking and access sensitive information, such as the recipient's details and the contents of the parcel.
Information visible from the tracking link
- Shipment activity.
- Estimated delivery date.
- Delivery address.
- Recipient's name, surname and phone number.
- Contents, weight and dimensions of the parcel.
- Link to track the shipment on the carrier’s website.
How and when is the tracking updated?
Shipment tracking may take hours to update, as the information depends directly on the carrier's system. Please note that updates are recorded each time the parcel passes through a control point, arrives at a sorting centre, is scanned at a depot or by the delivery driver, or progresses along its route to the destination.
